| Venue – Portcullis Games Room Date - Saturday 27th Feb 2010 The 3rd playing of this event will be held on Saturday 27th February 2010. Entry Fee is £5 per player and entries will be taken on the day. There will be sign-in time of 11:30 am with a view to commencing as soon as possible thereafter. Those players who wish to enter but are working and will be tight to make the sign-in time should contact Steve Webster. The first round ties can be started and provided those late players arrive before that round is completed (and they are not holding up the competition) they may be allowed to pay in advance. This courtesy will only be extended to those players who notify Steve and have genuine reasons for lateness. It will not be accepted for players to abuse this courtesy just so they don't have to sign in early. Prize Money will be dependent on the total entries on the day but is hoped will be £150 to the winner. The format will be best of 5 frames to begin with. Rules will be SPA Blackball. The 1-minute time rule may be used to ensure a steady rate of progress. There will also be a Flyer organized. The competition is being organized by Steve Webster and is restricted to players from the immediate Arbroath ADPL area (including Inverkeillor and Letham). Entries from Porty regulars are welcome although they should be familiar with the Blackball and 1-minute time rules and of course pool etiquette as these will be in force on the day and players will be expected to know and abide by them.
