The Last 32 of the Knockout Cup will take place on this date. Winning teams from this round will remain in the Knockout Cup whereas losing teams will go on to form the Consolation Cup. There were 4 seeded teams from last year. They are Ram's Heid 2, Burns Bar 1, Abbey 1 and Crown 2. However following discussion at the recent Committee Meeting it was voted that the 4th placed team in Division 1 this season (Portcullis 1) should replace the Crown 2 in the list of seeded teams. It should be noted that the Portcullis 1 captain did not ask for this or take part in any vote. The full draw is therefore as follows :- Legion 3 versus Newgate Crown 2 versus Letham Hotel 2 Cliffburn versus Fishermans Rams Heid 1 versus Railway 2 Letham Hotel 1 versus Crown 1* Portcullis 2 versus Bowlers 1 Burns Bar 2 versus Portcullis 3 Station versus Stag Victoria Bar versus Legion 1 Legion 2 versus Ship Inn Abbey 2 versus Bowlers 2 St Tams versus Railway 1 * - This fixture is a reverse from that previously posted. This is due to a clash of venues with the other Crown 2 team. As Crown 2 came out of the hat first, they get the venue and Crown 1 have to swop. Important Reminder - teams who do not honour these first round fixtures will be removed from the draw for the Consolation Cup. Format for the cup games is as always - 9 singles and 4 doubles. It is the responsibility of the home captain to phone or text the result to the usual number. | |||
